Ella made these adorable snow people at her art class this past Saturday, using Model Magic and markers.

michael and i bought ella a dollhouse for her 7th birthday, actually, we bought a dollhouse kit and promised her that he would finish it before she turned 8.  and he did.  with months to spare!

and since the holidays are approaching, ella bought a tree and some lights.

we spent quite a while at hobby lobby picking out furniture today (it was all half off), and she spent the afternoon setting up her house just the way she wanted it.

summer crafts

ella has been spending almost every afternoon this summer "crafting" and she has come up with some amazing creations. one of my favorites is this mask...she makes fabulous masks!

she also took "handbuilding" classes at a local art school and thoroughly enjoyed herself. she came home with six masterpieces from this 6 week-long class. i love this piece...it's a canoe with a family of six inside.
